Odisha Public Staff Service Commission OPSSC recently published the notification for the recruitment of various posts of Sub Inspector of Police SI, Sergeant of Police, deputy Subedar, and station officer under home department of Odisha. A common written examination will be held for the recruitment of 844 posts of Police department. there 675 posts for SI of Police, 33 posts for Sergeant of Police, 84 posts for Deputy Subedar, and 52 posts for station officer . Selection for these police posts will be based on the performance of preliminary examination, Physical measurement test, and Physical efficiency Test or PET after that a Main written examination will be held for all candidates who will declared qualified in all stages. Examination Date ; Preliminary Examination for the posts of Odisha SI recruitment will be held on 16 February 2014 .

Question paper Pattern and Syllabus  : Preliminary Examination will comprise 100 question.

Total one hour will be given for attempting 100 questions.

All question will be objective type with MCQ based.

Syllabus for Preliminary Examination :  question for Sub inspector Written examination will be based from general science, Current event of national and international important , history of India and Odisha,

Fundamental of English grammar, arithmetic of HSC stander,

Problem Solving and reasoning.

Negative marking. / minus marking will be applicable in this examination so for each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.
