What is the admission process in Navodaya vidyalaya: NVS every conduct a national level entrance examination which is known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test, or JNVST. Navodaya Vidyalaya JNVST every year conducted by NCERT / CBSE. This test is held annually at all district and block of the India.
75% seats are reserved for rural areas students. NVS seats are reserved for encouraging the SC and ST students in proportion of their population in the district but not less then average . 1/3 seats are reserved for girls and PWD students. JNVST is held in 20 regional language every year.
Eligibility for NVST : l All the children who have studied and passed
Class-V from any Govt. School/Govt. recognized School of that district and are between 9 and 13 Years of age are eligible to appear in entrance test for Class-VI.
Fee of navodaya vidyalaya : navodaya vidyalaya provide a high quality residential education free of cost to talented student of class 6 to class 8th level . Navodaya vidyalaya affiliated to CBSE board. Admission is taken in only class 6th level. All facility like boarding, lodging, uniform, Text book, copy, pencils , rail , bus fare etc are paid by NVS.
Rs 200 per month charged from each student of class 9 to class 12 level as vidlaya vikas nidhi.
SC, ST, Girls, and PWD students are also exempted from paying 200 fee.
