Odisha Public Service Commission
OSSC will conduct a commission preliminary examination for the
recruitment of 844 posts of Sub inspector, Sergeant, Subedar, Station
officer, etc. selection of the eligible candidates will be strictly
based on the preliminary written examination, physical stander test,
physical measurement test, and mains written examination.
OSSC Vacancy Details as are follows
SI Sub Inspector of Police: 675 posts
Sergeant of Police: 33 posts
Deputy Subedar : 84 posts
Station officer Fire Service: 52 posts
Total no of Recruitment: 844
Question paper pattern for OSSC | Odisha SSC Police Service Pre exam 2013 -14
Written exam dates yet not published in official advertisement but candidates are advised to start the preparation of Police Service examination. first of a preliminary Written exam will held for all candidates. Pre Exam will comprise 100 marks, and this test will be qualifying nature only. After that candidates will be call for Physical test which will be qualifying nature.
OSSC police service main written Exam will comprise 3 question papers which will carry 300 marks. written exam which will be held for Station officer SO posts that will carry 500 marks.
In the last an interview test will be also held and interview test will carry 30 marks.
All question of preliminary examination will be objective type of nature and total 1 hour will be given for attempting the question paper.
Syllabus of Preliminary examination : Question of preliminary examination will be asked from general science, Current affairs, current events of nation and international importance, History of India and odisha, Fundamental of English grammar, Arithmetic of HSC Stander, problem soling in reasoning.
Minus marking will be applicable in this examination and for each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.
Mains Exam pattern of OSSC Odisha SSC police Service Examination 2014
Paper 1 : General English 50 marks
Paper 2 : Odia Language 50 marks
Paper 3 : General Studies 200 marks
Total marks 300
Paper 4 : for station officer :: Technical paper 200 marks
